Review by hotel critic
During my recent stay in Solothurn, I found this hotel to aptly combine traditional charm with modern conveniences. Located conveniently near the railway station, I enjoyed the ease of walking to the hotel after a short journey. The location also allows for pleasant exploration of the town, renowned for its historical fountains and eleven churches, as well as a brief drive south to Bern's medieval center. Upon arrival, I encountered a friendly reception team who, despite their limited English, demonstrated a genuine willingness to assist. The rooms, though basic, were clean and comfortable, providing a restful night's sleep. I appreciated the complimentary coffee machine in the lobby, and the small terrace offered a nice space for breakfast. While the in-room amenities were simple-no tea or coffee facilities-the overall experience was satisfactory, with responsive service and a welcoming atmosphere. A minor note: I discovered the Wi-Fi password attached to the TV post-checkout. This stay was a pleasant blend of efficiency and warmth, reflective of Solothurn's own character.
